This exclusive tour offers stunning drives, visits to iconic locations like Corfe Castle, Athelhampton House, and the breathtaking Jurassic Coast, along with a unique opportunity to experience the thrill of Wiscombe Hill Climb. A blend of history, heritage, and beautiful countryside awaits on this unforgettable Dorset adventure.
For five nights, you’ll stay at the charming Plumber Manor Hotel, a luxury country house nestled in one of Dorset’s most picturesque areas, known as Thomas Hardy’s “vale of little dairies.” Built in the early 1600s and still run by the Prideaux-Brune family, this historic Jacobean mansion offers an intimate, homely atmosphere with elegant rooms and exceptional hospitality. Immerse yourself in traditional English country living while enjoying fine cuisine and personal service in this peaceful rural retreat.

Event Details
Wednesday 10th September
Arrive at Plumber Manor Hotel after 3:00 pm for check-in.
Settle in for five nights of relaxation in the heart of Dorset.
Thursday 11th September
Visit Corfe Castle and Athelhampton House: Start the day with coffee at the dramatic Corfe Castle, an ancient ruin standing guard over the Purbeck Hills.
Explore the village built from local Purbeck limestone, then head to Athelhampton House and Gardens, a grand manor dating back to Saxon times, with beautiful Tudor and Elizabethan architecture. (Total mileage: 75 miles).
Friday 12th September
Special Experience at Wiscombe Hill Climb: Enjoy a private visit and drive (not race) up the famous Wiscombe Hill Climb. Located in a wooded valley, this premier motorsport venue offers a rare opportunity to experience a hill climb course used for national and club motorsport events. (Total mileage: 96 miles).
Saturday 13th September
Explore the Jurassic Coast: Drive to Burton Bradstock on the UNESCO-listed Jurassic Coast, a world-renowned site for its rocks, fossils, and landforms. This 95-mile stretch of coastline offers a geological marvel, showcasing 185 million years of Earth’s history. (Total mileage: 70 miles).
Sunday 14th September
Visit Shaftesbury and Stourhead: Start the day with coffee and a visit to Shaftesbury, famous for its Hovis hill and charming town center.
Continue to Stourhead House and Gardens, one of the National Trust’s most famous properties, where you can explore the grand house and magnificent landscaped gardens. (Total mileage: 50 miles).
Monday 15th September
Depart after breakfast for home, ending your scenic tour of Dorset.
